Prestigious Business Awards to open for entries in less than three weeks

A prestigious business awards that last year attracted Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE and a host of fellow dignitaries, MPs and leaders from the business world will soon open for entries for the 2014 version.

Businesses of all sizes will be able to enter The North Somerset Business Awards on April 14.

To be held in September at DoubleTree by Hilton Cadbury House on Thursday September 25, business owners in North Somerset can enter any of the twelve categories that range from Small Business of the Year to Young Business Person of the year.

Last year’s winners and finalists included Weston based Pursuit Training; building firm Amalgam Landscapes; Gemma Day – who is the person behind Weston Gateway Business Park; Castelan Group and former Weston College student Kelly Hooper, who lives in Weston-super-Mare and runs The Barn beauty salon.

Grand Pier; Hayden Rushton of Britannia Windows, Alliance Homes and many more were also crowned on the night.

Andrew Scott, Founder says: “Over 100 firms entered The North Somerset Business Awards last year. We received entries come from individuals, start-ups, SME’s and from every sector imaginable. Last year’s ceremony attracted over 250 people and was widely praised for bringing the whole business community together.

The event also saw legendary explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE wow audiences as host.

The 2014 host will be named in the coming weeks.

Hayden Rushton, who runs Clevedon based Britannia windows said: “The event was extremely well organised. It was good to see an Awards that caters for small, medium and large firms.”
