Global insurance broker and risk management services firm Gallagher, sponsor of the Corporate Deal of the Year Award, is looking forward to celebrating businesses in the South West at the Business Leader Awards that have delivered real value and growth through making deals happen.
The award celebrates the achievements of those responsible for the most important corporate deals across the Bristol City Region and South West, and is open to MBO, MBI, M&A and private equity deals of any size, including funders, advisers and professionals.
In addition to details of each deal’s rationale, execution and success, the judges will be looking for the transaction that has brought the greatest value and significance to the region.
Andy Ferguson, Bristol managing director at Gallagher, said: “As a local community insurance broker with global reach our primary focus is on helping businesses of any size or specialism succeed and grow, by managing and mitigating the risks they face.
“That’s why sponsoring the Corporate Deal of the Year award is a natural fit for us, geared as it is to recognising and celebrating the achievements of individuals and firms in Bristol and the South West who help deliver local growth through the transactions they spearhead.
“The business community is held together by its people, and we’re proud to sponsor an award that honours the collective efforts of teams making growth happen.”
This award sponsorship runs alongside further local community involvement by Gallagher, including its new multi-year partnership with Premiership Rugby and developing relationship with the 12 member clubs — including newly promoted Bristol Bears, Bath Rugby and Exeter Chiefs across the South West — as it looks to champion the wider rugby community that helps protect and grow the game from the grass roots up.
Tamzin Ferguson, Bristol development director at Gallagher, added: “We pride ourselves on being embedded in the communities we serve and Gallagher Premiership Rugby is another fantastic opportunity to strengthen our ties in the South West region, and reaffirm our commitment to having an active local presence.
“We’re excited to see the inaugural Gallagher Premiership season unfold — on and off the pitch — as we continue to support local businesses and the community at large.”
