This award recognises landmark commercial occupancy deals that can include major offices in the industrial, retail or commercial sector, or an innovative regeneration scheme for the South West.
Founded in Taunton is 1866, Albert Goodman was created on the principle of providing high quality, technically excellent advice for business and individuals alike – principles the firm still operate with today.
With last year’s turnover approaching £13 million, they have grown to become one of the largest independent chartered accountants in the UK. The company now has 14 partners and offer a wide range of services to corporates, ranging from independent audits to business advisory and tax consultancy services. Partner at Albert Goodman, Chris Walford, will be one of the judges for the commercial property award and will bring significant experience to pick this year’s winner. Chris has advised clients of all sizes across the South West and has had a particular focus on providing owner managed and family businesses with practical, commercial and strategic advice.
Chris is also responsible for Albert Goodman’s audit offering in North Somerset and brings a great deal of experience to the role having previously been audit director at another large regional firm of accountants.
After being announced as a judge for this year’s awards Chris said: “I am delighted to have been invited to be a judge for this year’s Business Leader Awards. There are so many businesses from across the South West and from a wide range of sectors that should be recognised for their hard work and success over the last year.
